I’m an online shopping couponing geek, and I’m not afraid to admit it. Every shopping “alcoholic” needs to know the biggest tricks on how to save money shopping online.
Keep items on your wish list.
You’ll get emails alerting you when a price has dropped. Not all retailers use price drop alerts, but it’s quickly catching on in email marketing. Target is one that does it a lot. Make sure you have an account on the shopping site and keep it logged in with your cart to get alerts.
Check coupon sites for discount codes.
Coupondetect.com, Groupon.com, and Coupons.com are sites that you need to check frequently, in case your shopping site doesn’t generate any promo codes. Coupon codes, deals, and promo codes are one of the best ways to save money. Sometimes you can get a discount code even up to 80%, is that not great?
Double up coupons with sales.
If you have retailer coupons mailed to you periodically, hold out for a sale before you use it. Usually, an item will go on sale once per month, especially around holiday weekends throughout the year.
Shop at home and pick up in store.
If you’re not eligible for free shipping, see if you can order the item you want and pick it up at your local store instead. Sometimes you can even pick up the same day you order if the item is already in stock.
Save your discount points.
Almost every shopping site has a reward system like when you buy something example: $20 you get 100 points. Do not use points for each purchase but save them and collect them. After some time you will have an example 1000 points and you can get a big discount next time when you want to buy something.
